but I would love to visit again to sketch more.

첫 서울 어반 스케치 모임에서 멋진 화백 선생님들과 만나 함께 그림을 그리면서 정말 즐거웠습니다. 첫 작이 다소 미흡하더라도 예쁘게 봐주세요~^^ 다음 모임도 함께 했으면 좋겠어요. 모두들 만나서 반가웠습니다~!

Seven sketchers enjoyed sketching. We greeted new comers, Yoo Hae Lim and Chun So Jeong. Every sksetcher felt exciting while they're concentrating in drawing. We expect them to keep the challenge forwards. Thank you all!

스케치하며 캠퍼스 산책하기에 참좋은 날씨였습니다.

It was such a nice weather to sketch and walk around the campus.

지난 1월 28일에 세종대 학생식당에서 점심먹은후 바깥의 휴게실에서 차한잔 마시면서 스케치 했습니다. 대공원 갈때는 늘 들르는 곳이라 편하고 좋습니다. 방학중이어서인지 학생들이 없어서 푹신한 소파에서 편히 앉아 그렸구요. 환한 햇살과 실내의 어둠의 대비가 좋았습니다.

On last Jan. 28, this year I dropped in the Sejong University where I always visited when I went to Children's Grand Park located across this university. After I had lunch I sat on a comfortable sofa permitted by the absence of the students in winter vacation period. The contrast between the light and the dark inside was good to capture.

As we plan to exhibit soon, I am thinking which one will be better. These are my selection for it. Of course I want to sketch more afterwards. First two are with my Galaxy phone. I'm gonna print them on canvas, sized 25*45 cm. And the last one was also on location sketch(wash back home)at Buam-dong.

터키 이스탄불에서 배를 탔는데 이 할아버지께서 우리가 한국에서 왔다니까 한국전쟁에 참여하셨다면서 훈장과 사진을 보여주시며 군에서 높은 지휘관을 하셨다고 하시며 반가와하셨습니다. (We met the old man in the ship at Istanbul, Turkey. He said that he served in Korean War as a commander showing his medal and the photos. We thanked him very much as descendants.)

버크 칼리파 빌딩, Burj Khalifa

현재로서는 세계에서 가장 높은 빌딩을 한국의 삼성물산에서 지었다는 것이 자랑스러웠으며 인상적이었습니다. (We felt so proud of the world' highest building constructed by Samsung.)

Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

아부다비시 주변의 사막에서(at the desert near Abu Dhabi)

친구 두명과 아랍 에미레이트, 그리스, 터키를 두주일동안 여행했습니다. 일정에 바빠서 방문하는 곳마다 스케치하기 어려웠습니다. 말로만 듣던 아부다비 도시 모습, 그리스의 유적이 감동이었으며, 터키사람들이 친절하게 대해주어서 인상적이었습니다. 

(I travelled Arab Emirates, Greece, Turkey for two weeks with my two friends. I couldn't sketch because of the short time between schedules. I was impressed by the urban features of Abu Dhabi, relics in Athen and Turkey. Especially Turkish people were so kind that we felt familiarity strongly. Thank you!)

정말 오랫만에 인천을 가게 되었습니다.  서울이 스케치의 보고라 이곳 저곳 다니느라 시간 가는 줄 몰랐는데 잊고 있었던 인천은 또 다른 명승지였어요. 적어도 스케쳐에게는.  탁 트인 바다와 햇빛에 반짝이는 건너편 건물들, 눈 앞에 출항을 앞두고 쌓여있는 커다란 부표며, 노란 어망들...출격을 기다리는 형형 색색의 배라니...다 못그리는 것이 아쉬울 따름이었습니다. 날이 많이 추워서 4시경에는 빠레트 물에 살얼음이 지기 시작하여 걷고 돌아오는 내내 '역시 인천!'하며 다시 갈것을 다짐하였습니다. 서울하고 가까운 인천때문에 서울을 더 사랑하게 됩니다. 스케쳐로서...

I visited Inchon pier last Saturday, after a long time. The scenery was always great with moving ships, sunlit buildings across the sea, and nets, piled big buoys. It was very cold with wind, colder than in Seoul. But the panoramic seascape was just great, which made me feel refreshed.
