at the gallery, the 3rd Exhibition of Seoul Urban Sketchers

KH Lee was playing the guitar in the gallery.
pastel, A 4

휴대폰으로 좀 찍어보았어요. 그 또한 연습이 필요한 것같습니다. 오늘도 많은 분들 관람하셨구요. 관심있는 분들의 문의도 있었습니다. 당번들께서 수고 많으십니다.
I took some video with my mobile phone. I think it needed lots of practice too. Many visitors appreciated works with interest. Among them there were several artists who hoped to participate in urban sketching. Welcome!

After sketching some at the Myungdong Cathedral Church I visited the Pyunghwa Gallery in Catholic Center. I could see the SHONA exhibition(Aug. 10 - Aug. 23). Exhibited works from Zimbabwe were really great.  Hope you to visit there if possible. I took some photos for reference.

sketches at the exhibit "fashion into art" in Plateau Gallery

in front of a famous spaghetti restaurant located near Gwangwhamun
On the way going to the Plateau Gallery I could see people were waiting to enter on 2:13 pm though. I took a photo on 2:49 pm just before I left the spot. There were customers who couldn't enter yet.

Park Seung Mo + Lee Sang Bong, aluminium wire, fiber glass, silk, life casting

Cheon Seong Myung + Park Choon Moo, FRP, mannequin, wool jersey, leather, feather

Hong Kyung Taek + Rubina, silk, cotton, pens

copy part of Rodin's sculpture, The Burghers of Calais, installed in that gallery

The exhibit which KW Jung introduced us to see days ago was great with new concepts in art works cooperated with artists and fashion designers. Thanks a lot for offering an opportunity to see such a precious exhibit! At the hall I saw sculptures of Rodin, The Gates of Hell and The Burghers of Calais. I tried to copy part of The Burghers of Calais and realized that people would never feel tired of seeing them and such ones could have remained as masterpieces. Great exhibit and sculptures made me feel satisfied on a humid and showery day!

Creative Sketch Workshop at Dasom Gallery (2), July 2nd, 2011

We finished Creative Sketch Workshop (2) today. 19 participants including kids and adults joined and enjoyed sketching in and out of the library on a hot and humid Saturday, July 2nd, 2011.  We and the staffs of the gallery were surprised at their sincere attitudes toward sketching on the spot. Needless to say the experiences for two days meant a lot for all. Several of them promised to join the sketching on Sketchcrawls. We might be able to say that we achieved our purposes to show our works to the citizens and to make them have conficence about sketching on the spot for the first time in their lives.
Many thanks for all the participants with love, the staffs of gallery, and Seoul Urban Sketchers!!!
