my mother at park

I went to the park near my mother's house with her. How rarely I did that...I sketched her bigger and younger than her real feature. How thin she is now...She's 89 years old now. I'm happy to spend all day with her these days.

#29th World Wide Sketchcrawl on Oct. 16, 2010

Hi sketchers,

We're planning to meet in front of Duck Soo Palace on 10:30 am. Duck Soo Palace locates across the Seoul City Hall. This time we'll sketch at Bug Chang-dong where many restaurants, pubs and business buildings are. From the Chosun Hotel or the Plaza Hotel near city hall one can walk down to Namdaemun Market within 10 minutes through the Bug Chang-dong side road. Though the frontal designs of the shops or restaurants were changed, the total structures of the place still remained as before. So we may be able to capture nice scenes through between high and low, old and new buildings. If possible we can sketch more at Myung-dong or Namdaemun Market...Hope to see you all on Oct. 16 there,

sketches at Inchon city

Two sketches were made in front of a ice producing and selling company located at Whasoo wharf of Inchon. I drew the red brick building several times in watercolor, but this time I used charcoal. Men were mending something there.

Seoul Sketchcrawl on September

The day before yesterday on Seoul sketchcrawl, it was so peaceful and fine day, moreover the Korean Thanksgiving Days in a row. I had some sketches of the Anglican church where I used to visit very often.

Today, the weather was the best, breezing, shiny, clear after the heavy raining. Lee Yong-hwan, Moon Hyung-in and I participated in. The atmosphere in the church was so quiet that we rested while sketching. We moved to Bugchang-dong and had lunch. The area was full of shops and restaurants located near the City Hall, across the Duck Soo Palace. Sketching the area we agreed with that it would be a good place for the next sketchcrawl on October 16, 2010. Thanks!

Happy Chu-suk! - September Sketch

View from my window at night

All my family fell asleep except me. Sometimes I enjoy sleepless night.

yesterday at beauty parlor

Yesterday I and my mother went to a beauty parlor for perm. I can't remember when I had a perm. Maybe 10 years ago or more...I did this time to accompany her.

performance at park

There was a performance at Children's Grand Park, which was played by Seoul City Symphony. Though the members were not in a large scale, visitors could enjoy beautiful harmony on a rainy day. The host arranged chairs for audience on the stage due to the rain. We were lucky to see and hear them very closely.
