종로타워 스케치

                 This sketch meeting was scheduled to Jongno Tower.
                 I used to see this building on the bus,but it was the
                 first time l was in the building.
                 Because of the uniqueness of the building, I'd like to
                 draw the building, it's downtown, the air pollution
                 was so bad, l had to give up.
                 This building was made by imitating the figure of
                 flying saucer holding up there giant steel structures.
                 It's weekend, the offices closed, we could draw all
                 over the place riding elevators up and down.
                 I think  drawing is a kind of mental training.
                 At that moment, my brain concentrate on the
                 painting without any other thoughts.
                 That's one of the reasons why l like painting.

                  종로타워에서  스케치 정기모임이 있었다 .
                  버스를 타고 오며가며 보던건물이었지만 들어가보기는 처음..
                  3개의 거대한 철골구조물이 비행접시를 떠 받들고 있는 형상의
                  워낙 특이한 외관을 그리고 싶었으나 미세먼지로 뒤덥힌 도심
                  한복판에서 그릴 용기가 나지 않았다.
                  토요일이고 사무실도 비고..엘리베이터를 타고 오르락내리락 ..
                  오후엔 잠시 인사동으로 이동해 한 장...
                  오랜만에 오신 가족분 반가웠어요^^

관망할수 있는 곳이 있다는 것은 몰랐네요.. 좋은 장소를 소개해주셔서 감사합니다.

그리고 다음 번에는 조금 더 크기가 큰 종이를 준비해야겠다고 생각하게 되었습니다.

This is my second session of USK Seoul. I didn't know about Jongro Tower at all, even though I had been in Seoul over 20 years. Thanks for introducing such place.

And I think I need to prepare bigger sized paper next time. :)

Happy to meet sketchers at the downtown sketching a landmark building, Jongno Tower! It was not cold but drawing over 30 minutes was not easy for numb fingers. Because it was a Saturday office floors were nearly vacant and we could enjoy sketching looking down the cityscape in a very calm mood. After having lunch we moved to favorite places each. We shared various drawings at 4:30 pm.

날이 좀 흐렸으나 몹시 추운 날은 아니었어요. 그래도 밖에서 그릴 때는 손이 곱더군요. 휴일이라 텅빈 건물을 오르내리며 조용히 그렸습니다. 새로 오신 박경숙님도 만나 뵈어서 반가왔어요. 재미난 시간 되었기를 바랍니다. 감사합니다.

I have been sketching cultural assets at the National Museum of Korea.

I just draw with pen and ink and painted it later after came back home

Though I can not draw in the outdoor area in cold weather, I had a good time because I could visit the museum and sketch.

현장에서 채색 못한 것은 집에와서 조금 채색을 했어요...

날씨가 추워도 박물관에서 어반스케치 하는 것도 재미있었습니다..
