Last Saturday, in a late autumn weather, we Seoul urban sketchers gathered at Seoul
Nambu Terminal. Seoul Nambu Terminal is an old intercity bus terminal located in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Since its relocation from Yongsan in 1990, it has been operating actively by covering all areas of the country with intercity bus terminals. The buildings are very old and narrow, so it is a little inconvenient, but the transport accessibility is very convenient, so Seoulites use the terminal very often in daily lives. The weather outside of that day was a little cold, and the waiting room was crowded with passengers, but the sketching mood was very comfortable.
At first, I sketched the facade of the terminal building and the surrounding buildings outside the terminal, and the waiting room and the ticket booth inside the building. And I sketched a portrait of the new participant Kwon and present it as a gift. After lunch, I sketched buses waiting to depart from the Concourse. I think the terminal is a permanent sketching site, with countless people and buses moving around without staying.

Sketches at the Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal

pastels, water soluble crayons, brush pen, name pen, watercolor, sepia conte, colored paper, A 4

Though it was a little cold after raining yesterday sketching with new and old friends is always exciting. The inside was bustling with come-and go passengers. Some people gathered there for meeting their climbing members. I shared talks with them too while drawing. The Nambu Bus terminal has moved into this area on 1990 from Yongsan. Compared to other terminals the environment of the terminal looked somewhat older. But it looked familiar and friendly. New or old whatever is it we draw all for it's where we live in this time.
