[SAT 24 JUN 2017] Appenzeller/Noble Memorial Hall, Seoul (서울 정동 배재학당역사박물관)

안녕하세요?

지난 6월 24일 정동 모임 때, 공식적인 모임의 시작과 끝을 함께 하지 못하여 많은 분들께 인사드리지 못했지만, 그 날 낮에 제가 그린 그림을 올립니다.

 - 제가 그림을 그린 정동 배재학당역사박물관 앞에서 그림 그리고 계셨던 두 어분께 간단히 인사 드렸습니다만, 통성명도 못 하고 오후 4시 다같이 그림 보는 시간에 참석하지 못 해서 제 그림을 보여드리지 못하여 죄송스럽게 생각합니다.

오랜만에 찾은 덕수궁 돌담길을 따라 천천히 걷다 한 번도 가보지 않은 방향의 길로 들어서니 옛스러워 보이는 건물이 있어 들어가 보게 되었습니다. 마침 '~~ 역사박물관'이라는 표지가 있어 이 곳의 옛 스토리를 조금이나마 알 수 있을까 하여 들어가서 둘러보고 나와 그림을 그렸습니다. 

아펜젤러/노블 선교사 가문이 설립한 '배재학당'의 역사 박물관으로 현재 쓰이고 있는, 과거에는 '배재학당'의 교사(school building)로 쓰였던 건물이라고 합니다.

Sketches with Seoul UrbanSketchers

After a long time I Joined to sketch with Seoul Urban Sketchers at Jeongdong, Seoul.
The weather was a bit cloudy, pretty many sketchers came to draw.

The first gathering place was in front of Deoksugung palace.
Just in time, It was held that the palace gatekeeper-changing ceremony

The event time was done so quickly, I had to move to find something to draw.

Walking around Deoksugung Stonewall, there were flea market. and I saw something interesting item. 

It was Rolling paper note pad. but in my case (as you also I think) It was seen funny sketch book. even endless paper :)

I cannot help buying it. after right I drew on there with it.

After walking a little bit I arrived at Paichai-hakdang that the first modern educational institution in Korea; the Appenzeller found

do not waste time. just draw!

It started to raining that time. I have to find somewhere inside. 

so I went to Jeongdong observation platform the next gathering place.

It has so nice view to see the Seoul's skyline. and there was a cafe (can sketch)

It was good time to draw around Jeongdong with Seoul urban sketchers!

Next month We (Urban sketchers Suwon) will meet in 22,Jul at Hwaseoung temporary palace, Suwon.
