그동안 못올렸던 그림을 모아서 올려봅니다. 정신 차려보니 벌써 6월 중순이 되어있고 학기도 끝나갑니다. 이번 학기를 마치자마자 학교쪽 캠프에 가야해서 한동안 스케치를 못할 것 같네요...  6월 들어서 제대로 스케치를 한장도 못했더니 손이 근질근질합니다. 빨리 다음 주 토요일이 되었으면 좋겠어요.

지난 5월31일에 올림픽공원 장미광장을 갔다왔습니다.
활짝핀 장미들을 사진에도 담고 스케치도 하기위해서죠.
영상 33도가 되는 뜨거운 날이었지만 꾿꾿하게 또 무식하게 하루종일 그렸네요.
정말 즐거운 하루였습니다.

그림을 그리던 중에 비둘기가 분수에 날아와 앉아있어서 추가로 그리게 되었는데 정말 신기한 상황이었습니다. 비둘기를 바로 그리는 저도 신기했구요.

yellow ribbons for the victims of Sewol disaster

A week ago I went to Cheonggyecheon for sketching. I saw lines of yellow ribbons along the stream. In the plaza there was a large ball of ribbons too. We all felt sorrow and wished miracle for their returns alive. In the place demonstrations and rallies related with the disaster have been held. Seeing the wavering ribbons I prayed for all the victims. 

지난 5월 20일에 청계천에 갔어요. 세월호의 희생자와 관련한 집회가 열려왔던 곳이고 서울의 중심지라 많은 노란 리본이 청계천변을 따라 묶여 있었습니다. 가신 분들이 조금이라도 외롭지 않게 온 국민의 마음을 담아 놓은 것이겠지요. 저도 그림 그리면서 그분들의 명복을 빌었습니다.

참가했던 어반스케치 모임중에 가장 북적북적했던 날이 아닌가 싶습니다.
외국에서 오신 새로운 분들을 만나뵐 수 있어서 더 기억에 남는 날인 것 같네요.
날씨가 조금씩 더워지고 있어요. 밤 낮으로 일교차도 심하고요. 모두 감기조심 하세요!

Last Saturday, I visited Mecenatpolis Mall with Seoul usk members. Mecenatpolis is located close to Hapjeong Subway Station in downtown Seoul, and is  one of the latest landmarks of Seoul's mixed-use complex that embraces shopping, entertainment, and residential compounds. On entering the gigantic building, I drew some pieces around main central plaza which opened to the sky with lots of colorful umbrellas suspended above the crowded mall.

 After lunch, I sketched in and out the high-rise building complex as seen through my eyes. There were so many subjects I like that I couldn't them all as I wished. I had a very exciting sketch time.

메세나폴리스 같이 도시중심 개방형 고급 주상복합건물은 어반 스케쳐에게 훌륭한 작업 스튜디오 같은 곳이라 하겠습니다. 영등포 타임스퀘어, 가산 아울렛 단지와는 또다른 공간 분위기와 스케일이 흥미를 유발합니다. 특히 주변 상업시설, 주택가와 한강변의 경관이 조화롭게 어우러지는 환경이므로 스케치의 무궁무진한 요소를 지니고 있는 장소입니다.
