The sketches of Daehangno

   

                 Saturday the Daehangno was more energetic than l
                 imagined       ' A march of youth '
                 Sometimes it seemed necessary to get energy from
                 these places .
                 It's still May , but the weather was hot as summer ,
                 but the people there seemed to enjoy the heat.
                 I am a little sorry l could not see the dance and performances
                 for drawing. It was like a picnic for me~~
                 
                 토요일의 대학로는 상상이상으로 활기찼다
                 "젊음의 행진"
                 가끔은 이런 곳에서 에너지를 얻는 것도 필요할 것 같았다.
                 아직 5월임에도 불구하고 한여름처럼 더웠고 그곳의 사람들은
                 마음속의 열기와 함께 그 더위조차도 즐기는 듯 보였다
                 그림을 그리느라 현대무용.춤.공연을 자세히 보지 못해 조금
                 아쉬웠지만...소풍같은 하루였다~~
                         

   

ARKO ART THEATER AT MARONNIER PARK

Dahangno  was the one of my favorite streets in Seoul.
When I'd like to see the play or some  kind of performances , I used to go to  this spot.
Maronnier park is located in the middle of the Dahangno street.
However  it was the first tme to visit this spot in order to have a sketch.
I've never made a close observation the scenery around here.
But this time, I made it that was really different experience to me.
One man followed me dancing behind my back.
Some kind of dancing crews showed their performances on the stage in this park.
Someone who is the actor did a monologue speaking out loud on the street even though nobody really cares.
I tried to capture the Arko art theater building's atmosphere as the way I look at it.
Nobody really cares about me what I did.

대학로  마로니에 공원에서
마로니에 공원에  있는 아르코 예술극장 건물을 그려 보았습니다.
마로니에 공원은  언제나 사람이 넘치고 활기차서 좋습니다.
혼자 독백하는 사람. 버스킹.댄싱 다양한 거리 예술을 감상하며 그림그리는 것도
즐거웠습니다.
사람들의 시선을  의식하지 않고 자유롭게 자신을 표현하는 모습이 멋있습니다.
그들도 제가 무엇을 하던 아무도 크게 신경쓰지 않습니다.
제 방식대로 아르코 건물의 분위기를 표현해보고 싶었습니다.
도전정신을 불러일으키는 마로니에 공원입니다.

DELIGHTFUL DAY WITH SEOUL URBAN SKTECHERS

Sketches at the Maronnier park ,May 26th (Staturday)
How enjoyable street it is!
You can see variety of the street performances ,kind of  dancing, playing,busking at this place located in Dahangno, Seoul.
DHANGNO means college +street.
It is one of the  most cultural and artistic street that runs from the intersection of Jongno 5-ga.
This time,we had a great time for urban sketching with 11 members including Wendy Tan from Singapore.

언제나 활기차고 예술적인 감성이 살아있는
대학로 마로니에 공원에서 어반스케쳐스 모임을 가졌습니다.
날씨가 화창해 거리공연을 감상하며 그림그리기에 딱 좋은 날이었습니다.
반가운 분들 많이 참석해 주셔서 정말 즐거운 하루였습니다.
새로 오신 분들도 반갑습니다.
자주 뵙겠습니다.
저는  오늘부터 찍사담당을 하게 되었습니다~^^

It was a very fine day for sketching. The park was busy with visitors. Especially young students gathered to see performance of dance, music, and classic music. Sketching hearing nice music was good too. Talking with new comers I just drew two. But the moments will be memorable for us. Thank you for joining on a beautiful May day!

오늘 참 좋은 날씨에 도심 속의 공원에서 젊은이들과 음악도 듣고 신나는 춤도 보고 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 항상 붐비는 마로니에 공원은 삶에 활력소를 주는 귀중한 공간인듯 합니다. 오늘 새로 오신 분들 반가왔습니다. 감사합니다.
