커피전문점과 자동차대리점의 콜라보. 노란색자동차가 이뻐서 잠시 스케치했습니다. 길동 사거리 버스 정류장에 겹쳐보이는 이발소의 상징인 회전간판이 눈을 자극해서 스케치.

거래처와 미팅 마치고 점심식사후 가산디지털단지 주변에서 잠시 스케치했습니다. 디지털단지답게 한국적인 풍경은 드물어서 현대적 느낌의 건물과 멀리 보이는 창고를 스케치했습니다.

After lunch meeting with customers after a short sketch around it Gasan Digital Complex. Digital landscapes are just rare that Korea has a modern feel to the building and warehouse sketched look away.

I could pass Dongdaemun area days ago and yesterday again. On the last day of 2013 I wanted to draw the Dongdaemun Gate, which I had not drawn before in that view.  Yesterday I had to transfer from subway to bus at the area. The former Dongdaemun stadium site has been under construction, which was changed into the Dongdaemun History and Culture Park. The big mass showed its real feature by the recent removal of dust layers around the construction site. I could see the buildings well though people couldn't enter yet. The building I drew seemed like a symbolized Dongdaemun Gate in my point of view. 

지난 해의 마지막날 동대문을 지나면서 남쪽에서는 처음으로 그려보았습니다. 가까이에서 보니 더 위용이 있었구요. 어제 전철에서 버스로 환승하려고 지상으로 나오는 순간 겅설중이던 동대문 역사문화공원의 커다란 건물을 볼 수있었습니다. 먼지 가림막이 제거되어 그 덩어리가 눈에 잘 들어오더군요. 첫눈에 동대문의 아치문이 연상되어 동대문, 혹은 초가집을 형상화한 것인가 나름 생각하며 잠시 그렸습니다. 개장이 되면 앞으로 자주 그릴 수 있을 것이라 기대하였습니다.

Working at home as a wife called me went to the fourth floor, Homeplus points sketched in the parking lot. Good luck dinner at home this year and drew a horse running. Happy New Year.

2013 year-end sketches around Seoul YMCA Building

I often passed by Seoul YMCA Building(서울 와이 엠 씨 에이) on business affairs. From time to time, I sketched some sceneries around the historic building alongside of Jongno Tower Building(종로 타워 빌딩) which is a famous landmark near Jongno Crossing(종로 네거리). Some pieces posted here are sketched on this December whenever I stopped off at the building once in a while.

My little lovely cat and more

This is my first cat. He is very adorable so I can't take my eyes off of him.
He is 3 month-old Korean shorthair. He likes play around the window.
I did a very quick sketch of him and added washes later.

I recently looked around several galleries. One day I found a very interesting
group at one of famous galleries at Samchung-dong in Seoul.
More than 20 people followed one man from gallery to gallery.
He was a guide for paintings and recent exhibition.
They were art-loving people. They must have paid for this private program.
