Months ago I sketched the The Bank of Korea at Myungdong and the Anglican church near City Hall of Seoul. I finished the drawing by broad washes not describing the details.

Ongnyeon-dong side street

20F watercolor

It is side street scenery of sunset.
As urbanization is gone, side streets disappear gradually.
Laugh, of children who play on the side street, disappears together.

at Jeung-reung, Seoul

Because it located near my house I could pass the village often. I went up to the top. The village was waiting for redevelopment. But I could feel nostalgia remembering where I had lived as a child.

in hospital - from the archives

On 2001, my mother-in-law was hospitalized for two months for dementia. While she was sleeping I sksetched the interior or exterior scenes of hospital. She died two years later. Yesterday I took my mother to hospital for some examination. Being a while in hospital made me think about life and getting old. Posting this drawing I miss her.

책읽기의 즐거움을, 행복함을 생각하면서 그렸습니다

Acrobats at Dong-choon Circus performance

Years ago I sketched the two resting acrobats after their circus performance at Children's grand park. They came from China. Though I didn't see the circus, the colors of the big tent and their clothes were impressive.

parking tower

I sketched this one at Sejong university yesterday. It looked like a church building. But it was a parking tower. The front building was used as a church. But the parking tower wasn't used for parking any more.
