블로그의 형식상 맨위에 그림을 올려야 한다는 규칙때문에 제 그림 올렸습니다.
기온이 많이 내려가 가을이 왔다고 생각했지만 아직 여름인가 봐요.
햇살이 따가운 하루였어요 ~
하지만 옹기종기 모여서 이런 저런 이야기나누면 저마다 열심히 그리는
스케쳐님들  모두 모두 멋진 모습였습니다. 그리고 수고 많으셨어요,
특히 회원챙기느라 스케치 하시느라 애쓰신 유쌤 고생 많으셨어요 ^^

2주후에(9월23일) 능동 어린이대공원서 또 뵙겠습니다.

It was a real fine day of Autumn at Yonsei University. I started sketching at Gwanghyewon founded by H. N. Allen on 1885 as the first western medical hospital in Korea. It was restored on 1987 as a hundred year commemorative project of the university. It's unusual to see the Korean style traditional building with special history in such a big scale campus full with modern western buildings. After having very delicious food at cafeteria I stood at center of the famous Baekyangro. Two years ago nobody could stand there setting an easel by passing cars. It became possible for the big parking lot was built under the road. I enjoyed standing in the center sketching the road though the sunlight was very strong still. And the Student Union building had unique facade with repeated windows. I drew part of it. On 4:30 we shared our works inside the building. Thank you all the participants!

오늘 날씨가 참 좋았어요. 새로이 단장된 백양로때문에 차 걱정없이 걸을 수 있어 더욱 좋았어요. 오늘 참석해 주신 분들 감사합니다. 다음 23일 어린이대공원에서 뵙기 바랍니다.

AT ARABICA  COFFEE 1948

Last month, I stopped by the unique coffee shop 'ARABICA COFFEE 1948'
for work in Won- ju city , Gangwon-do province .
It's the café for chales furniture show room
and all the furniture which is displayed for interiors in that place  is sold for sale.

I had chat with a friend of mine about neat furniture in there and our work.
I  made two drownings with fountain pen after simple pencil sketch.

Won-ju is a rural city which takes an hour and a half by car from Seoul city.

I intended to correct the text I posted last time but accidentally deleted it.
I tried to upload again as soon as possible
but I've had a lot on my plate at work and I finally did it all over.

지난 달, 일 때문에  'ARABICA COFFEE 1984 ' 라는
강원도 원주에 있는 인테리어가 독특한 카페에 갔었습니다.
파주 찰스 퍼니쳐 분점으로
원주점은 가구만 파는 곳이 아니라
쇼룸과 카페를 겸한 곳입니다.
모든 가구와 소품은  판매중인 제품들입니다.
규모는 크지 않지만 절제되고 세련된 가구와 감각적인 소품이 있는 곳입니다.

서울에서 한시간 반 정도면 충분히 갈 수 있고
박경리 문학공원에서 가까이 있으니
평소 그분의 작품을 좋아하시는 분들은
가실 기회가 있을 때  같이 들리시면 좋을 것 같습니다.

연필 스케치를 가볍게 한 후 만년필로 그렸습니다.
사진에 있는 두 사람은 그림 속 한 명이 가고
다른 친구가 온 다음 사진을 찍었습니다.
친구들은 어딘지 비슷한 분위기 인 것 같습니다.
아직 그림 그리다 보면 사진 찍어야 한다는 사실을 깜박하곤 합니다.

지난번 댓글 주신분들과 그림 감상 해 주신 분들께는 죄송합니다
글을 수정하려고 하다 착오로 삭제하게 됐습니다.
요즘 일이 너무 많아서 이제야 다시 올립니다.

갤러리 회장님

9월 1일 시흥시 대야동 '세상을 보는 갤러리'에서 열리는 곽윤환 작가님의 개인전에 이용환선생님과 다녀왔습니다. 부천역에서 내려 길을 건너 015변 마을 버스를 타고 약수터고개에서 내려 올려다 보면 갤러리가 보여서 쉽게 찾아 올라갔어요. 건물 전체가 다양하게 설계 되어 있어서 어느 곳에서도 그림이 되는 아기 자기하면서도 현대적인 멋이 있었어요. 너른 까페에 전시되어 있는 많은 그림들을 감상하고 시원한 주스를 마시며 분위기 있는 실내와 밖의 모습을 담아 보았습니다. 마치고 나오려는데 마침 회장님께서 점심들고 가라고 붙잡으셔서 회장님 인물화를 한점 그려서 선물해 드리고 맛난 중식을 하며 담소를 나누었어요. 나오면서 건물을 올려다 보며 한점씩 더 그리고 돌아왔습니다. 환대해주신 회장님과 여러분들께도 감사드립니다.  곽선생님 덕분에 좋은 곳 발견하고 멋진 분 만나 뵙게 되어 감사드리며, 다시 한번 성공적인 전시회 되기를 바랍니다. 

Two sketches at Doseonsa Temple

Last Friday, Sept. 1st, I went to Doseonsa Temple located at Wooi-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. The weather was very fine. Because it locates high in the mountain, Samgaksan. Months ago it took over one hour for me to walk down the well paved road. The scenery was good. In old days people walked up to go there; but these days they use shuttle bus. 

This time the first building where a big restaurant and big praying space for ancestral rites was under repairing. Countless scaffolds were set up all around the building.  I tried to draw on somewhat big papers(29.5x41.5cm). It was just a challenge to capture such complicated scene. The numbers of the vertical plumbs are not exactly same as the real features. The place I took seat was an open cafe with wooden stools or benches under trees. So I could enjoy sketching hearing the sutras sounded in speakers repeatedly. 

It was boring in some sense to draw similar scenery on both sides of the building. But I drew them because I will not be able to capture such scenes after the finishing of the repairing. Though the temple locates at far from the downtown its long history founded on 862 and beautiful scenery attracts citizens, believers, and mountain climbers all the seasons. By the opening of Wooi light rail people can arrive there sooner than before. Next time I will try to ride that. 

지난 금요일에는 모처럼 우이동의 도선사에 올라갔습니다. 도선사 위치가 좀 높아서 셔틀버스가 다녀서 그나마 편합니다. 경치는 좋구요. 몇달만에 올라갔더니 호국참회원이라는 건물이 보수 공사로 온통 비계로 둘러싸여 있더군요. 그림 시작전에 우선 점심 공양을 맛있게 하였어요. 제사가 있었는지 팥떡이랑 파인애플 썬 것도 있어서 감사히 먹었습니다. 

사찰의 모습이 대동소이하지만 공사중인 건물의 모습은 특이하여서 두 장을 그렸어요. 그림 마치고 이곳 저곳을 들러보고 좋은 시간 보냈습니다. 작은 연못도 있는 곳도 있었고 미쳐 못 올라간 곳도 있습니다. 또 가고 싶은 여지를 두고 왔습니다.
