Yesterday morning, I joined Seoul sketchcrawl Dec. It was too cold to sketch comfortably, but I could not help drawing untill 12 a.m. on account of my important promise in the afternoon.

I drew several sceneries around Dongdaemun Plaza sitting on a stool in front of Maxtyle shopping center.

Sketching on Dec. 18, 2010

Young staffs were smoking before entering the building in the plaza of Doota Building of Dongdaemun, Seoul.
He was resting a while in the open cafe in front of Doota Building, who wore an advertising band of Monaco Wedding & Buffet on his shoulder.

I sketched the shoe shopes at Dongdaemun, Seoul. Under the electric pole were laid tens pair of shoes at the entrance of Shoe stores of Chunggyechun.

On the bridge over Chunggyechun, I sat on the curb and sketched a man singing hymn. Sketching him and hearing his song repeatedly I became to hum after him.

Jung Un-ja was sketching a portrait of Ramses from Uzbekistan. He was fluent in Korean.

On 2007, I sketched this one in front of Chosun Ilbo(Daily Newspaper) Gallery located near the Anglican Church of Korea, Seoul. The alley is not busy mostly, so good to sketch the church and nunnery, and the scenes with old buildings. (A 4 size, pen and watercolor)

Though it gets colder we hope to end this year sketching together. For the exhibition at Dongdaemun District Office we may need some nice sketches more around Dongdaemun(East Gate). Last Saturday was so cold and strong windy day for November. But Seoul sketchers were deep in urban-sketching all day with patience.

I sketched wandering through the downtown from Kyung-bok Palace to Insa-dong. I'm sure continuous drawing on the surroundings of Gwanghwamun is very useful for Seoul sketchers.

It has been mind-boggling that year passes.
In spite of the cold weather, because could paint meeting, it was happy time.
Delicious meal was impressive from atmospherical place.
Had a good time seeing display at Insa-dong.
Is a little inconvenient as do not paint much.
I have received a lot of energies.
