며칠 전부터 틈나는 대로 걷기 운동을 시작했습니다.
요즘은 한강변을 따라 걷고 있습니다. 한강시민공원에서 잠실종합운동장을 보고 그렸습니다.
서울엔 정말 차가 많은 것 같습니다.

눈발 속 멀리 삼각산을 그렸습니다만...어째 시원칠 않습니다

performance at the opening ceremony of exhibition

At Insa Art Center located in Insadong, Seoul I could watch a performance luckily. It was held at the exhibition of Lee Suh Hyung. Korean traditional dancer, Na Young-ae played Salpuri Dance(kind of exorcising an evil spirit) to the accompaniment of four Korean traditional musical instrument players. She danced with her feet being dipped in red, blue, yellow color pigments. When she danced the foot prints were left on the white big mat. It made unexpected patterns as a result. I enjoyed the music, dance, and above all the sketching itself.

Yesterday I accompanied my son who enrolled in the army to Namchunchoon, Kangwon Province. The weather was good. Thousands of young men looked dependable for the country.I thanked for him to be grown enough to serve for our country.

Yesterday I sketched various sceneries around Dongdaemun with Seoul sketchcrawl members. Though weather was rainy and awfully yellow dust windy, we took delight in drawing all day.

휴대폰이 돌아가실 때가 되었는 지 미치미치? 합니다 매장 갔더니 A/S받아야 될 것 같다고 해서 다시 돌아와 만지작 거리다 툭 꺼져 버려 다시 켜고 카메라를 찍어 보니 거짓말같이 다시 되는 군요 신통찮은 그림과 카메라로 저녁내내 헤맸습니다 ㅋㅋ

Was many persons total hard life that blows the yellow dust storm and takes part on a cold day. Could paint in this bad backdrop and did happiness.
Was glad I meet new persons. Do how many person es in subway while I go to Dongdaemun and painted two picture on the spot.Was inconvenient because it is no time although site good and very yearning. Cellular phone camera does not become operation that take a picture coming to the house even so. Imprints by daughter cellular phone camera and raises croquis.Color picture can not imprint because picture quality is bad.

Today it was terrible with yellow dust wind and rain. But 11 sketchers participated in. We welcomed new young college students, Byun Saet-byul, Kwon Soo-yeon, Kim Ji-hoon, and Kim Seung-yeon. Their participation encouraged all of us in a gloomy day. We had nice lunch on 7th floor of Doosan Tower Building, one of the largest clothing shopping center in Dongdaemun district. Hope them to join us successively. Thanks all!

오늘 책상 정리를 하다가 2년전에 만들다 덮어두었던 작은 스케치북을 찾았습니다. 뉴질랜드에 계시는 외삼촌 댁 방문했을 때 여행했던 기념으로 만들던 여행 스케치북입니다. 데리고 다니던 어린 아이들이 여럿이라 현장에서 그리지는 못 하고 나중에 사진을 보고 그렸습니다.

When I was leaving the hospital today some music sounded at the entrance. There was a small concert for the patients and their families. The players were the students of traditional music of Korea. Though it was the last part of the concert I enjoyed and could sketch them. What a good experience it was!

Last Sunday I was waiting inside the long-distance bus for the exclusive use of the Korea outdoor watercolorists for outskirts painting workshop. In the meantime, I sketched the sceneries over large parking lot of Hyundai Department at Apgujeongdong.

Apartments are now being built all over the place at heukseokdong.
The contrast between light and shade of two buildings
made to think on my mind.

I went to sketch at Seoul Grand Park with Watercolor Group in Korea.

I thought the lion is looking at us.

By the end of the sketchy, it's started raining but I had so much fun.

After rain, the child couldn't ride bicycle because the ground became sloppy.
The bicycle and toy lying around was good objects to me.

Snow in Spring

아침에 일어나서 소복히 쌓인 눈을 보고 놀랐습니다. 봄 꽃 피기를 기다리고 있는데 느닷없이 눈이라니. 아침에 베란다 밖을 내다보고 그렸습니다.
