pile of Yuntan, Oheum-ri, countryside
Years ago most Korean people used Yuntan as fuel. The burnt Yuntan was used for mixing with soil to cultivate vegetable or flower. Such scene might have been found in countryside or urban cities too at those days.

in front of shops
Last year I sketched in front of a shop selling goods for buddhists. The shops locate near the Chogye temple at Gyunji-dong, Chongro-ku, Seoul. The left shop was a take-out coffee shop. When I passed the coffee shop 10 days ago, I found it closed being demolished. So this drawng could be left as a record.Wednesday, June 16, 2010
