working husband and sleeping wife

Today I sketched these three ones at Naejadong, Chongro-ku, Seoul. I drew them before. Her sleeping pose caught my eye at first. I felt happiness seeing the old couple.

pile of burnt Yuntan(19-hole briquet), 24 x 32 cm, pencil
Years ago most Korean people used Yuntan as fuel. The burnt Yuntan was used for mixing with soil to cultivate vegetable or flower. Such scene might have been found in countryside or urban cities too at those days.

in front of shops

Last year I sketched in front of a shop selling goods for buddhists. The shops locate near the Chogye temple at Gyunji-dong, Chongro-ku, Seoul. The left shop was a take-out coffee shop. When I passed the coffee shop 10 days ago, I found it closed being demolished. So this drawng could be left as a record.

Indian music players

유선생님 그림 보니 함께 스케치했던 기억이 나서 예전 스케치북을 뒤져보았습니다. 벌써 5년이 지났네요.

pencil sketches

I sketched a man taking photo at Ilsan Lake Park on 2003, and a indian music player who was playing at Children's Gran Park on 2005.
