Dongdaemun Gate (1398~), originally called Heunginjimun, is located at Jongno-gu in downtown Seoul. Its surroundings are attractive  and so good to look around. This area is a good place to see the interesting and colorful sceneries including a portion of Cheonggyecheon River. Lots of clothing stores and fantastic buildings have brightened up the cityscape around Dongdaemun Gate. Especially Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), the world-famous architecture, is expected to be completed in July, 2013.
Though it was so cold and windy, I sketched the colorful sceneries immersing myself in our country culture around the most historic treasure.
