It was rainy yesterday. I could sketch one sitting under the eaves having hot baked cake bought in the tent you could see in the sketch. It was really delicious.

The temple was more beautiful by colorful flower in chrysanthemum festival.

Yesterday It was rainy a little. I sketched two at the Jongno catholic church. I walked down the Jongno way and dropped in the Jogyesa temple. There, unexpectedly I could be in the world of chrysanthemum. By raindrops the flowers looked more beautiful and vivider. People including foreign tourists took photos in front of them. The temple is a good place for lots of people to take a rest even for a while. 

어제 종로 성당에서 스케치를 하고 종로를 거쳐 광화문쪽으로 걸었습니다. 옅은 비가 오니 도시가 운치있게 바뀌더군요. 조계사를 지나칠 수 없어 들렀습니다. 늘 신도와 관광객으로 붐비며 예불이 끊이지 않는듯합니다. 요즘 입시를 앞두고 더더욱 그러한듯하구요. 뜻하지 않게 국화축제로 경내는 장관이었어요. 수많은 꽃송이에 신도들의 바램이 깃들어있겠지요. 도심속의 훌륭한 휴식처임에 틀림없습니다.

You've been busy schedules and refreshing with an outdoor sketch suggests. If the weather is cloudy and rain began to fall a little bit. I've got to get used to this weather sketch goes to travel. Welcome to a meeting with the teachers I met in a long time and had a great time with this fun drawing pictures, gathered at any time.

요즘 회사일로도 개인적으로도 정신없이 바쁜 시간들을 보내고 있습니다. 그런와중에도 이렇게 여러 선생님들과 새로오신분들과 함께 그림도 그리고 나눌수 있어서 즐겁습니다.
그림이란게 그래서 좋은것 같습니다. ^^

Hongjaecheon flows around Bukhan mountain which is one of the most beautiful mountainㄴ in Seoul. Heavy rain of this summer loaded lots of earth and dust from the mountain. Last week walking down the street along the Hongjaecheon I could see the excavators moving them from the floor to the truck on the bridge. Because I couldn't see such scene often, I stopped to sketch it. 

지난 주 세검정 삼거리를 지나다가 굴삭기 작업현장을 보게 되었습니다. 두대가 아래에서 지난 폭우로 북한산 주변에서 씻겨내려와 쌓인 토사를 퍼내고 한대는 다리위의 트록으로 퍼올리는 현장을 보게 되었어요. 역동적인 굴삭기, 쨍한 햇볕과 그늘의 대조가 인상적이었습니다. 그런데 이런 현장을 차타고 지나면 놓친다는 것이 늘 아쉽지요.

오후 미팅 마치고 한강 고수부지에서 점심후 스케치 해보았습니다

I've sketched around Seoul Station many times for several years. Especially,I've always been fascinated by the scenic beauty of the Former Seoul Railroad Station building, connected with the new Seoul Station. The Former Seoul Railroad Station was constructed in an Eclectic Renaissance style in 1925. The building was distinguished by the classical symmetry in its overall composition and its non-classical features, including the central dome, a small steeple and the wings that were attatched to the central part of the building.
Currently, the building is composed of cultural venues for exhibition and performance, along with educational facility.
Last Saturday, I sketched the attractive historic building at difference angles.

눈부신 유리와 금속판으로 들쭉날쭉 채워져가는 도심의 하늘 아래
소담한 초록빛 돔과 벽돌 마디마디, 하얀 기둥 장식이 아름답게 비친다.
100년 세월의 낯익은 建築 樣式의 뒤안길에는~~~
근대사의 시련과 영욕이 "우리 시대의 거울"속에 녹아 흐르고
수많은 사람들의 스쳐간 발자욱 속에 나의 일기장도 같이 쌓여간다.
서울驛舍는 서울의 歷史....오늘을 그리며 서울의 미래를 상상하는 즐거움~~

Seoul station is always full of vitality. People are moving for their destination, leaving, meeting. And the big pane glass in food court on 3rd floor attracts us and provides all the scenery in the station. Though we've sketched there several times, we could find fresh fleeings with

changing surroundings. So I hope to see more n that station next time.

서울역은 항상 활기가 넘칩니다. 끊임없이 움직이는 승객들과 가족, 인근 백화점 방문객들로 인해 언제고 생동감을 느끼게 됩니다. 그동안 여러번 서울역을 스케치해왔지만 그야말로 번번이 새로운 모습을 보게 되구요. 변화하는 날씨도 색다른 분위기를 줍니다. 

어제 참석해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다. 

Sketching together at Seoul station

It was cloudy all day. Nine sketchers including four new comers, Park Jea Wook, Oh Sul Hee, Lee Seung Chul, and Lee Jin Kyung,  participated in. As always the station with complex department was crowded with passengers and visitors.  We of course enjoyed the meeting and shared all the results encouraging each other. Hoping all the sketchers to post their works I post the photoes in advance. Thank you all.

at Incheon wharf, Incheon city

Today I went to Incheon wharf. Weather was very good, shiny and breezing. I took a place beside a truck for a handful of shade when I sketched the first one. Though I saw the second scene at first I sketched it later because I didn't carry water, so I tried it just before I left the wharf. There was no place to hide from sunlight. But it was autumn anyhow. I could finish the second one. It took 20 minutes from drawing to washing. The first one took one hour to finish. 

오늘 모처럼 인천에 다녀왔습니다. 뜨거운 계절에는 좀 힘든 곳이라 요즘 좋은 것같습니다. 그래도 가을볕이 따갑기는 해도 바람이 불어주어 할만했구요. 언제나 변화무쌍한 인천에서 두점그리고 돌아와서 뿌듯했습니다. 오가는 전철에서는 인물스케치좀 하고요.
